Collaboration, Inspiration, Innovation, and Creativity stem from a commitment to combining talent with circumstance. This competition entry allowed us to experiment with a porous building layout for tower projects. Generous outdoor areas were crafted for creative collaboration and innovation.
The programmatic layout matrix groups creative trades for efficiency and maximum possibilities for cross-pollination of ideas. Alternating floors focus on semi-public programs or private studio spaces for artists-in- residence. The maker space is centralized sectionally to become integrally connected to the many creative trades. The ground floor is free and open to the city, providing flexible performance and exhibition spaces, reflecting the festival atmosphere of Adelaide.
