As an aging strip mall in suburban Los Angeles, Chino Hills Crossroads is an example of the limitations and shortcomings of typical suburban big box retail design. By doubling the square footage, a walkable commercial center for shopping and leisure is created, increasing the length of time visitors remain on the property. Existing retailers are accommodated in the phasing of construction, allowing for continuous operation and without interruption of convenient parking.
